Brad Griffith is an actor/writer/director currently based in Los Angeles. Originally from Nebraska and New Mexico, he holds a B.A. in theater from the University of New Mexico; an M.A. in Theater/Dramaturgy from SUNY at Stony Brook; and an M.F.A. from the University of Washington Professional Actor Training Program. After taking a long hiatus from the arts during which he worked for Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Warner Bros, he realized he had to follow his first love and relaunched his acting career in 2015 with an additional focus on writing, directing and producing.
He adapted his short play “Under Construction,” which had been produced in New York, into a short film in 2014 which he produced, directed and starred in. The short debuted at Outfest Los Angeles in July of 2014, and played several festivals. It was given an Honorable Mention for Best Writing by LA Film Independent. His feature script “Slam Book” was a semi-finalist for the Outfest Screenwriter’s Lab, and his pilot “Meet Betsy Crown” was a semi-finalist in the Screencraft Pilot Launch Competition. He is currently developing his most recent short into a television series with a production company and pitched to networks. "Naive", with filmmaker Nathan Adloff, was a second round finalist for the Sundance Screenwriter's Lab. He has written and directed several shorts for Young Actors Theater Camp that have garnered thousands of views. In 2016, he co-directed and wrote the documentary "Cohibernation" about long term gay relationships, which played to acclaim at festivals and is available Amazon Prime. His essay about being a rent-a-Santa was published in Salon in December 2019.

On the theatre side, he has toured with Theaterworks, USA; performed with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and has appeared in numerous productions in Seattle, New York, and Los Angeles. He is a founding member of the Showroom and Blueprint theater companies in New York, and is an associate member of Sacred Fools and The Celebration theater in Los Angeles, where he appeared as Schulz in Cabaret. He has taught acting and theater at University of Washington and SUNY at Stony Brook. His “War and Peace: The One Man Show” played at the Hollywood Fringe, Interrobang, Theater Unleashed, and the Santa Monica playhouse. In the Los Angeles area. He has also stage managed and/or associate produced over 100 gala non-profit events.
